Outer order contributes to inner calm.
This week, I was kinda feeling good after a long stretch workout and I decided to thoroughly clean my room! It's been awhile.
As a look at my room, all in proper order, it really makes it much more inviting. It did make me more calm and I felt at ease.
I've been wanting to repaint my side table since the paint is kinda falling off of it. It sometimes sticks to floor and is very hard to sweep off. I also am very creeped out by the book that I use as a level for the table. It has some local folk pictures, it has very traditionally beautiful pictures but sometimes it creeps me out.
Yeah, as you can see, there's definitely a lot of wire clutter and the paint is peeling. There used to be a big bulge of stuffed animal there too, but I made a brand new home for him. His name is Narry. :)
But anyway, after a couple of days of sandpaper-ing and how many paint coatings of my side table, it's done! (I really don't like the smell of paint. Seriously. It makes my brain hurt. But sometimes, it's fine.)
I also wrapped the creepy book with colored paper and washi-taped it.
It most definitely looks neater.
I'm so happy I get motivated at do-it-yourself projects by reading different blogs. ;)
Well, I hope for more DIY projects to come! X
