Why yes, I'm going to blog about this.

It's been almost a month since I saw them. This is how my February started.
Two days of pure unforgettable bliss.

I am an OJT of New World Manila Bay hotel. The minute I got down for my breaktime and looked at my phone. I saw an urgent message from my cousin saying, "THIS IS NOT A DRILL COUS. NASA DIAMOND ANG THE VAMPS. NASA POOL SILA." (Something like that) Of course, I panicked like a fucker. because that's just in the next hotel. I MEAN LIKE, just across the street from where I was standing!!!! Got out of the building and waited with fans almost till my break time ended. I went to the pool area, lobby etc. Unfortunately, they came out on the balcony... I just missed it. Well, it's okay.
I'M GOING TO SEE THEM LIVE TOMORROW.

Before going to the venue, we were all up and ready, in our concert outfits. We were talking about how much we all love them in my living room. It made us even more ecstatic.

In the joyride, we saw a huge electroboard featuring The Vamps and it all made us fall over.
SO. EXCITED. Yeah? Just by reminiscing I can feel all the feels.

Obligatory selfies before the concert!!!!

All emotions were heightened. Jumping on air happy. Excited-Ecstatic.

THEN THEY WERE THERE IN FRONT OF ME!!!!
Before, I just listen to their music on my iPod when going to school, ojt or what. (It always makes my morning feel so GV-fied) But here in these moments, I am witnessing them perform it live!!! I just can't believe my eyes. They're real. They're here.

*singing along VERY LOUDLY to their music*
(In my defense, the LIVE quality is just as glorious like the studio quality.)
*Dancing the whole night through!!!*

I recorded videos as well, but it's too confusing. Of course, I was jumping up and down and screaming the lyrics with my whole being.

Note: My voice singing with it's whole power sounds like heavy metal.
*I made The Vamps sound heavy metal.*

Eventually, all good things must come to an end.

This is an example of how we were after the concert. We just sat there. HAPPY AND SAD.
Feeling the Post Concert Depression coming on already.

Post-concert groufies.

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!!!

After the concert day, there was a CD Signing/Meet and Greet the next day...

My concert buds ditched class for that. The start of the CD selling is 10am and they went to school about 7am. I met up with them about 8-9am. We all feared we wouldn't make it. Because it was traffic and we didn't know how to get there.

By the time we got down on the bus, we were fucking running around Makati like a maniac. (BUT WE STOPPED FOR A LITTLE WHILE BECAUSE WE SAW A CUTIE AT THE MALL)

The line was fucking long when we got there about 1030am. Thankfully, Tita Cielo was there to line up for us. I thank God for her being with us that day.

We almost thought we wouldn't make it to the first 500 or so, but they added some more albums to be sold, so that more fans have a chance to meet them. I'd like to thank these people of course. They are the reason.

After buying the CD's, time to wait a little bit more.

We weren't in the first 500 but we were IN. We also had killer places. We were very close to the stage in the railings at the side. WE WERE LIKE 7 STEPS AWAY FROM THE STAGE. Our arms hurt afterwards because we were literally clinging onto those railings for dear life.

So waiting, waiting... then FUCKING LOUD SCREAMS.
THEY'RE HERE. PERFORMING CECILIA. READY TO MEET US.

Unfortunately for us, selfies weren't allowed. I don't know what the logical reason for the no-selfie rule. But yeah. So I wasn't able to have a picture with them.

BUT I DID MEET THEM FACE TO FACE.
I'm going to break it down..

Before coming up the stage, I feel like my knees were turning into jelly and my heart wants to beat out of my chest. Once, stepping in the stage I felt shivers everywhere. The first person my eyes automatically landed on when I got on the stage, was James. Even before I got to the table... But then it was my turn... I had a moment with each of them while they were signing my CD.

James: *grabs my hand even before I got to the table* Hi, how are you?
Me: I'm good. I LOVE YOU! Can I get a fist bump?
James: I love you :) *fist bump*

(Then, after James, I LITERALLY DROWNED WHEN CONNOR LOOKED AT ME STRAIGHT IN THE EYES. My heart was sucker punched.)

Connor: Hi! *signs my CD and shakes my hand*
Me: I love you so much dude! Can I get a fist bump?
Connor: Yeah!! *Looks at my hand then, fist bump* YEAH MANILA.

Then I linger for about a minute there, just drowning in his eyes and also because Tristan was busy eating Mcdonald's.

Tristan: Hello!
Me: Dude your drum solo was epic last night!!!
Tristan: Aw, thanks love!

HE. CALLED. ME. LOVE. OMG. I DIED.

Me: BRAD! OMG THANK YOU. I LOVE YOU SO MUCHHHH!!!
Brad: *shakes my hand, smiles down then looks up*
Me: Can I get a fist bump? :)
Brad: *fist bump*
Me: I LOVE YOU!
Brad: I love you too. *saying it as he looks up at me, with his mouth slightly twitched at the side James Dean Style*

CUE THE TEARS.

This is me paralyzed with shock, shaking and crying after meeting them.

Cue the group hugs. We just can't believe that it was THEM in front of us a moment ago.

T____________T   :""""">

We had some ice cream and coffee afterwards and took a breath of fresh air before heading home. Retelling stories and laughing, A LOT.

Still feels so surreal.

"Never forget this feeling, Pola."

If you want to check out The Vamps Official's video of their stay here in the Philippines, check this video out. Btw, I saw a smidge of my sweater in the audience. Hahaha

After Divergent, I sought out a less thrilling more romance kind of novel. Just to take a break from the action packed reads. I stumbled upon The Selection series and it was highly recommended by my fellow classmates who liked to read as well.

The protagonist’s name is America Singer and she’s a 5. Well, the book shows that the place they live in, which is the kingdom of Illea, is divided into caste systems that determine your rank in society. 5’s are the entertainers, which mean our girl can sing and play instruments. But her family is hardly compensated from what they earn. So they live a Spartan life. Besides that, she grew up being strong and able to fend for herself, willing to make sacrifices and staying true to herself despite the circumstances surrounding her.

Then there’s Aspen Leger, the brooding mysterious and forbidden love of America. They are each other’s person. Meaning, they knew each other very well from home and they would always protect each other, they would always have the other in their lives somehow. I love Aspen because of his unwavering hope for his first and great love and courage that drove him to always protect the people. He always had to be the knight and shining armor and I love that about him.

Then there’s Prince Maxon Schreave, the crown prince of Illea. So this whole series evolves from the so called “Selection” where the prince chooses the most beautiful and qualified of all the ladies in the kingdom and chooses his wife, the future queen, from them. (My first thought was, it’s like The Bachelor. Haha!) Okay, so America was picked. I love their first encounter when America was hyperventilating inside the palace and she ran onto the garden but stopped by the guards. Maxon let her out and she just couldn’t control her emotions and she screamed and yelled all kinds of stuff at him. Maxon was cool and composed, but with America, his guard cracked and showed a bit of his personality and I so love that about him. That being with America shows that side of him. And I absolutely love that Maxon always picked America, like from that first time, America won him over and it has always been her. Like one word from her the competition would be over. He’s completely in love with America, and I’m kind of frustrated on the part when they were both holding back from saying that to each other.

Kinda torn between these two, who should be the Maxon.

It kinda sucks the movie didn't finish filming, but yeah. It will be treasured, even if it's just in the novel form. :)

I also loved all the characters, especially America’s dad, Marlee and Celeste. As you know, I’m a hardcore shipper and I was frustrated when the series keep jumping back to Aspen-America then Maxon-America. She was so torn apart by two lovers and so was I. Hahaha
Everything in this series is really nice, and it’s just a really hooking love story. You should go ahead and read it! J

*Somebody hold me please*

Dear Veronica Roth, WHY?! WHY? John Green and you should be kept in detention so that you realize what you've done. Say sorry. I'm kidding though, don't. But seriously.

Back to what I was going to do. I was going to lay it out on you book by book, but I just can't stop reading once I've started. I've slayed through that book series page by page and I'm not even sorry.

First, I'm going to start by saying that Veronica Roth's writing style is amazing. It's sort of fast paced but still, you kinda just inhale her words and feel everything she writes. Everything's just amazing. :) Well, I first watched the movie before I even got to read the book and now that I read it, I'm in the Divergent fandom now as well.

The five factions kinda exist in your world after you read the book. You even identify yourself into one or more, (means you're divergent!!) and you get swallowed whole by the series and you kinda just let it happen.

The characters also, you can't help but love them! You practically find bits of them that makes them who they are as a person that you can't help but love them. It makes you understand people, emotions and everything.

Tris Prior's or Beatrice Prior's character is just so admirable from all her abilities and characteristics. I love the way she was able to love despite all that has happened to her. She's strong and I absolutely idolize her so much for that. She's my heroine. It makes me want to be strong and brave and selfless and kind and smart and everything.

*cue the fangirl sighs*
I didn't think it was possible to love a number <4 Hahaha! But here he is! The proof! :)

Tobias Eaton A.K.A Four was the mysterious guy at first then went on to becoming this knight in shining armor (even though Tris didn't need one bc she was tough on her own) with a hint of sensitivity but with a horrid past behind him. He's just the character that makes you fall over time when you read more and more about him. He's moving on and staying strong after everything that's happened. You can't help but admire him.

I loved the way they found each other... how they loved, fought, forgave, LOVED (I know I'm repeating but yeah suck it) each other. Even though they thought that being with each other is bad, it isn't. It's like what Tris said that they become better versions of themselves with each other. I just.... you can't help yourself from shipping them! YOU JUST CAN'T!

The other characters, I can't even start to explain one by one, because I feel like I may as well write a review about as long as a book! They are profoundly amazing. All of them. Even though, you may hate some, you kind of just let go when the characters are doing so as well.

I mean, this series takes you on an adventurous journey that makes your heart burst with all sorts of emotions at times. I'M JUST FULL OF EMOTIONS RIGHT NOW. Book hangover much? But I love this series... I'm just discovering that, my heart will forever be etched by this.
(I can't thank Veronica Roth enough for writing this series.)

P.S. The movie was great too!

So... I strongly suggest you read it! And after you read it, go watch it! :)

I'm going to start with this statement:
I watched the series first before I got to read the book, okay? I FURIOUSLY LOVED IT. My heart was broken when I heard it was cancelled.

Look at the book cover up above, screams chick lit ain't it? It has a UK version of it too.

Okay, so now onto the book contents... I liked it but it didn't live up to my expectations based on the series. (Like I said, I loved the CW Series!) It's very different from the series because Carrie's much more developed when you watched the show. Sebastian's character is also different, but same cheeky and asshole-y attitude but yeah I loved that dude. Also this Lali persona in the book, she's like merged Maggie and Lali in one in the series. I liked the storyline, how it started and how it ended. There's much more going on in Carrie's high school life.

Maybe I'm comparing too much series vs. book, and that's very different. Because if I came to read The Carrie Diaries before I watched the shows, I wouldn't compare it too much and I'd like the book very much. (It seems like I don't dislike books. I'm too much of a goody-goody) It's like about how Carrie came about into discovering herself wanting to become a writer and the journey and risks she had to go through. It's an okay book though! I'm very into chick-lit. (Don't judge me okay? I, ALSO, MEGA LOVE HARRY POTTER.) :)

But this post, maybe isn't too much of a book review. But the wikipedia clearly says, "In September 2011, it was officially announced that The CW network was moving forward with a television series as a prequel to the original series, based on The Carrie Diaries." So it's BASED, keyword here is BASED. It's more of me fangirling about The Carrie Diaries (cw). It's just so perfect. I love the cast, the outfits, the stories that goes on about all the characters. I just love it. Although it's about sex at first, it's okay because it's like her discovery to kinda wait for it. It won't make you squeamish about watching a show about sex. I even watched it with my mom in the living room, she liked it too!

But as the series goes, it's all about teen problems or writer problems or all kinds of problems. I love when Carrie's narrating, it's all very quotable in my opinion. Also the ships I ship in this series is literally heart bursting! :) I will forever love this show and will occasionally watch marathons of it. :)
It's odd.

Like once, our love was maddening.
But now as it fades, as I grip it with all my might,
the other end wasn't gripped quite enough.

As I loosened my hold,
he tightens for a second and fades away too.
How could this go on?
I have no idea.

I don't know I was pretty inspired by Pablo Neruda.
I first read this for a class back in high school and I liked it very much.
This poem's called "Tonight I Can Write The Saddest Lines"

Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
Write, for example, 'The night is starry and the stars are blue and shiver in the distance.'
The night wind revolves in the sky and sings.
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me too.
Through nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her again and again under the endless sky.
She loved me, sometimes I loved her too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.
Tonight I can write the saddest lines.
To think that I do not have her. To feel that I have lost her.
To hear the immense night, still more immense without her.
And the verse falls to the soul like dew to the pasture.
What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is starry and she is not with me.
This is all. In the distance someone is singing. In the distance.
My soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.
My sight tries to find her as though to bring her closer.
My heart looks for her, and she is not with me.
The same night whitening the same trees.
We, of that time, are no longer the same.
I no longer love her, that's certain, but how I loved her.
My voice tried to find the wind to touch her hearing.
Another's. She will be another's. As she was before my kisses.
Her voice, her bright body. Her infinite eyes.
I no longer love her, that's certain, but maybe I love her.
Love is so short, forgetting is so long.
Because through nights like this one I held her in my arms
my soul is not satisfied that it has lost her.
Though this be the last pain that she makes me suffer
and these the last verses that I write for her.

I don't know if you guys heard, there's this site called blah therapy. When you're feeling a bit down and need someone to talk to, you can vent your problems/rants to a stranger that may help with what you're feeling or hear them out and try to give advice/help. :)

It's a help or be helped site and it's amazing. It's free to talk to strangers that may help you. Just tonight I talked to one fabulous lady who enormously helped with what I'm feeling. She gave me really good female advice.

One of the things she said to me was, I shouldn't doubt myself and I should be able to own what I like. I agree with her 100%. If someone just has a problem with that, then it's their problem not mine. I don't live to please anyone. She also introduced me to a song about "doing you without any apologies". I really like that. She also said it kinda reminded her of me. It's called Grown Woman by Beyonce.

I love The Queen B.

I'm a grown woman
I can do whatever I want
I'm a grown woman
I can do whatever I want

I can be bad if I want
I can say what I want
I can live fast if I want
I can go slow all night long

I'm a grown woman
I can do whatever I want (whatever it is)

In the end, she added, "we girls should look out for each other". And yes, we do need to. :)
Even though people might bring you down, you are strong. Always put that in mind. They don't matter if you don't care about them. In fact, you don't live to please anyone but yourself.

So do what makes you happy and just fuck the rest.

Goodevening guys, here's another DIY post! :)
From my last post, I've been itching to redecorate some parts of my room. I started with the do-it-yourself frames and now I'm tackling another DIY task.

Putting curtains on my dresser! (the jewelry storage was unanticipated, I just experimented)

The curtain I used was a long pink thread curtain I used to hang in my door, but I get irritated when it gets stuck to my hair and everything so I found a way to use it again... as a curtain for the dresser cabinet! The cabinet used to have doors but they were pretty shabby, so they were gone in an instant.

Here are before pictures. I have a lot of beauty/skin product clutter on the top. I also have a LOT of junk inside there so I started taking the junk off and sorting it to the things I still use or may still be helpful and those things I don't need or use anymore, some stuff  went to our donation bin. So my dresser could get a whole lot of free space.

It's pretty easy, I just put some tacks on and hung a rod. I put the curtain in the rod and cut it about the size of my dresser, and viola! It's done. :)) The jewelry storage on the other hand, is just some colorful tacks also and I just put my accessories.
It's kind of a fast project, the junk cleaning ate most of the time!!!

There! It's pretty simple but it did bring life to my boring dresser. :)
As you can see, a counter clean and clutter-free! (I am sorta proud of it) I also made an old frame into a blinged one! Look at that bedazzled picture frame and One Direction! I also used the empty air freshener bottle into a sort of a vase. :)
If you're wondering where all the clutter went... as I've said before, I cleared up a lot of space and so all of my girly stuff is stored in one place now!
I placed a divider to separate the make-up items and the after-bath items, also the tupperware is the storage of medical items. :)

Here's the jewelry accessories, it's placed behind the door of the cabinet.
I think it's really cool and fun to be decorating. I'm targeting my bookshelf at my room to be my next DIY project :)

Okay, night! x
