Project Pie: Design, Build, Eat

Food blog time! :)

Okay, I really don't have a schedule for these things (I don't know if I should have one) like the other blogs I read they have this Music for Mondays and stuff like that, but I really don't care. Sometimes I like to be random, sometimes I like routine. Whatever, here you go. :)

Project Pie!

Photo not mine. Found it on Project Pie's facebook page. :)

Well, I first heard about this restaurant from my boyfriend and then it appeared on TV shows. We were curious about it and we decided to try it. It's in 515 Shaw Blvd. 1552 Mandaluyong.
When we got there, we noticed the ambiance of the place was really nice. I've seen it in pictures online but it's much cooler up close. You notice stuff you don't see in pictures. But here are some that I took.
The Entrance.

 The chairs and tables.
I really like their trash concept because when you're done with your food and drinks, the signs ask you to spoil the staff by getting rid of your soiled trays and used cups. You just shoot it up there and put the tray in the rack. I just like that idea.
The pretty lights.
Also, while waiting or eating, I fascinated myself with the quotes up on the wall. I think that's really cool.

When we got to the line, we found the menu. It's a piece of brown paper, where they listed all their choices especially the pizza toppings. They also have special pizzas already made, but what's the fun in that? When you get to build your own!!? :)

We were greeted by the friendly staff and we didn't know what to do at first, we just stood there. But the girl behind the counter was so nice! I feel so bad I forgot her name, but yeah she asked us if it was our first time and we said yes. So she guided us.
It's pretty simple really, she asked us what our names were. (At first I didn't know that her asking for our name had a purpose but the staff at the end of the line writes down the name in your pizza sheet). We decided that we're gonna build one pizza on our own and we're gonna try the Banana Nutella.
She puts this butter in our pizza dough and cornmeal, I think? Yeah. By that time, my stomach was rumbling already! We picked random toppings from this counter with lots of it.
Then our pizzas went in the really, really hot oven.
....
and here it is!

This is the one we made. It's made of all pomodoro sauce, ALL CHEESE, pepperoni, bacon, green bell pepper, tomatoes, onions and pineapple. :) JUST LOOKING AT IT NOW GIVES ME MOUTHWATERING FLASHBACKS!
The Banana Nutella Pizza! OH GOD, this one was sooo amazing. Nutella was all over my mouth in the most unattractive way. But I think I fell in love with this pizza while I was eating it. :)

The part that I really like was the crust because it's crunchy but not that crispy. You know? There's a difference. It's just a bit burned on the sides but it tastes so good! The center of the pizza too was still soft and chewy.

The drinks also was an A-plus for me, I like the do it yourself concept. Where we get our own, I don't drink softdrinks that much, so we got pineapple juice.

and here's me eating pizza while admiring the wall...
Candid shots. That is so not attractive, at all!
Aha! Caught him.

So I'd definitely recommend this restaurant! You should try it, pizza lover or not, you'll enjoy it!
