"Act the way I want to feel."
Latest events appreciation post.
Last Saturday, I went to the Flying V Hanes Cup basketball game. I didn't know why I agreed upon my cousin's invitation but I thought that it would be fun. I guess, that attitude came from the book I am reading now about happiness. Some of the author's resolution in the book is to "Show up" "Find more fun." "Act more energetic". Reading her experience during her project, I'm inspired to act happy, even if it's just acting, you'll actually feel it somehow and therefore you'll be happy. Hence the title of this blog post.
Well, it turns out that I enjoyed watching the game, even though I'm not an avid fan of basketball I thoroughly had fun cheering and squealing with my cousins. I tried to act more energetic and I did feel energetic. Therefore leading to happiness!
Also, we had a chance to meet and greet the basketball players on the La Salle team, which was definitely a bonus.

Following up on the resolution, I went to my friends birthday celebration the other night. I was feeling a bit lazy and didn't want to get out of the house at all that day, but I thought about the resolution and decided to "Show up" for my friend's birthday. It was a loooooong commute on the way there but catching up with friends beats just staying at the house and just about anything. We laughed like a maniac and talked endlessly like nobody was around and people were just looking at us like we were crazy, but I love it. I love them. We thought we sorta got lost but it still was fun. :)
